Britt Nicole Biography

Britt Nicole is an American vocalist, songwriter and recording artist. She is best known as a Christian pop artist, but in 2012 found her debut mainstream single, “Gold”, and, in 2013, “Ready or Not”, in the Mainstream Top 40. The album was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 55th Grammy Awards. She is signed to Sparrow and Capitol Records.

She began singing in her church, Truth Temple of Kannapolis, North Carolina at the age of three. Together with her brother and cousin, hey became involved with the church’s daily program on Charlotte TV station WAXN.

While at South Rowan High School she was a member of the school’s advanced choir group and performed with them at Carnegie Hall in New York. She was also a member of Duke University’s Brightleaf Music Workshop.

On 10th June 2003, he released her debut album ‘ Follow the Call’ which she released as Brittany Waddell. In 2014 she signed a management deal with Vertical Entertainment, and then signed a development deal with Word Records. In the same year, he released her extended EP ‘Brittany Waddell’.

She signed with Sparrow Records in 2006 and her song “Indestructible” was featured on the WOW Next 2007 compilation CD. On 22nd May 2007 she released her debut album ‘Say It’ as Britt Nicole. The album peaked at No. 40 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. On 4th December 2012, She signed to Capitol Records and released “Gold” as her debut single for mainstream pop radio. On 7th October 2016, she released her fourth studio album, ‘Britt Nicole’.

Britt Nicole was born as Brittany Nicole Waddell, in Salisbury, North Carolina. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old. During an interview, she revealed that she almost gave up on love and life after the painful divorce of her parents. She also revealed that it was during that time that she got saved.

“During that time of going through that divorce, I remember just feeling an emptiness in my heart and feel like, ‘Man, my mom can’t fill this void, and my dad isn’t going to be able to fill it…something is missing.’ I would watch my parents argue and fight, and I was afraid. Then there were times where I felt really alone. It was a situation that they were going through, where I felt like I couldn’t really go to them.

I got saved when I was seven-years-old, the same time I was watching my parents go through this divorce. I just remember this man preaching, and my heart pounding in my chest. He gave the altar call. He said, ‘If anyone wants to come down and receive Jesus as your Savior, you can come down now.’ I needed to just cry, I needed to just lay it all down before His feet. And say, God, take it.” She has a brother Bryn Waddell who she used to sing along with at Truth Temple of Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Nicole and her husband Joshua have 3 children Ella Brave Crosby born on 24th July 2013, Adin Jerusalem Crosby born on 8th February 2015 and Eli Crosby, born in 2018 and is now 11 months old.

In April Britt took posted a family photo on her Instagram with the caption ‘We are excited to share with you that God has blessed us with another precious baby’
